Exposure trip to Shillong, Meghalaya organized by Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) under Samagra Shiksha for GHS/GHSS Students.
Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) under Samagra Shiksha,Nagaland conducted a three day exposure trip to Shillong,Meghalaya for Secondary Students of Government Schools from 19th March-21st March 2024 with an aim to create curiosity, excitement and exploration among school children and promote enquiry based learning outside the classroom. The team consisting of Secondary students from Government Schools and teachers guide from across the state along with officials from State Mission Office and Directorate of School Education visited North Eastern Space Application Center (NESAC). Shri Himangshu Das Scientist/Engineer SATCOM & UAV Division gave an introduction of NESAC and briefed the students that the main objective of NESAC was to provide the North Eastern States get access to satellite services and promote research in the space technology. He also briefed the students about various space related activities followed by ‘Space on Wheel Exhibition’ Bus/facility visit. The team also visited Laitlum Canyons, Don Bosco Museum and other important places in Shillong.
