Laaipang Concept under Longleng District.
The Laaipang (Phom tribe dialect) or the traditional youth dormitory was introduced to help the students in studying their lessons. The Laaipang intends to unshackle the children and empower them through a range of activities devising an education, which would be holistic in its essence. They not only learn from books but are trained on life-skills through hands-on orientation on agriculture, horticulture, crafts, gender awareness. Literary Competition conducted at Yongam centre

Lessons on Villages Settings:
Every Friday identified elderly women/men from the village are invited to the Alijo-Morung to teach the children the history of the village and traditional culinary practices, weaving etc.
