1.RAA: State Level Quiz Competition
The State Level Quiz Competition 2023 under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan was held on 8th November 2023 at SCERT, Kohima Nagaland. The coverage of the quiz included contents related to current affairs, science, mathematics and technology. Kohima district was declared the winner followed by Tseminyu district and Dimapur district.
2.RAA: SCIENCE EXHIBITION/SCIENCE FAIR
The State Level Science Fair 2023 (Seminar & Exhibition) was conducted by Samagra Shiksha and DoSE on 12th September 2023 at GHSS, Pfutsero, Phek District under the Theme ‘Millet- A Super Food or a Diet Fad?’ for Science Seminar and ‘Science & Technology’ for science exhibition.
LIBRARY GRANT ACHIEVEMENT REPORT:
Books are provided to all government schools to inculcate reading habits, nurture lifelong readers and seekers of knowledge and promote reading ability through relevant, age appropriate and diverse books. The books are procured from National Book Trust (NBT), NCERT, Children Book Trust (CBT) and local authors. Library Book Selection Committee” (LBSC) 2023 was constituted with Addl. Secretary, School Education& SCERT as the Convener.
ORGANIC FARMING:
Organic farming aims at instilling a holistic perspective among the students. student’s participation, sensitizing them and skilling them is the main objective for implementing this project. Organic farming also supplements the mid-day meal kitchen in schools.
Organic farming for the year 2023-24 was implemented by 95 Secondary/ Higher Secondary Schools and 50 Elementary Schools.
WASTE MANAGEMENT PROJECT:
Main objective of Waste Management Project is to spread awareness at the grassroot level.
The program includes training on waste management, collection, storage, utilization and disposal with the participation of the entire school.
E-circle is implementing waste management project in 10 secondary schools in Kohima and Dimapur.
