Youth & Eco Clubs

An amount of Rs. 151.95 lakh @ Rs. 5000 for 1134 stand-alone primary and Rs. 15000 for 635 elementary schools and an amount of Rs. 72.75 lakh @ Rs. 25000 was estimated for 291 number of Secondary/Higher Secondary schools was estimated to constitute youth and eco clubs for the students for various activities such as-debates, music, arts, reading, physical activities etc.

Elementary: 

Tree plantation, sanitation drive, climate change, nutrition and health issues, water conservation, disadvantages on use of plastics, sports tournament, promotion of reading habits, maintenance of library, skill development, music, arts, reading, physical activities, gardening were undertaken by the Youth and Eco Clubs.

To promote awareness and interest in preserving the environment, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland selected 23 Government Schools under Kohima district to mark the day by planting trees and cleaning the school surroundings. 

Secondary:

Tree plantation, sanitation drive, seminars and workshops on environmental issues, climate change, nutrition and health issues, water conservations, threat on use of plastics, sports tournament, promotion of reading habits, maintenance of library, skill development, music, arts, reading, physical activities, gardening were conducted under Youth and Eco clubs in Secondary schools.
