National Program on School Standards and Evaluation known as Shaala Siddhi for enabling schools to evaluate their performance in a focused and strategic manner and facilitate them to make professional judgment for improvement was introduced in 2017-18
The need for improving school performance and learning outcome is increasingly felt in the education system to provide quality education for all children. The quality initiatives in school education sector, therefore, necessitate focus on school performance of teachers which will ultimately lead to improvement in performance of students and schools. Therefore, a growing emphasis is being placed upon developing a comprehensive and holistic school evaluation system as central to school improvement.
PAB 2019-20 sanctioned Rs 8.8450 lakh for 1769 schools @ Rs 500/- per school (Elementary section) while for the Secondary sections sanction was Rs 1.45 lakh for 295 schools @ Rs 500 per school. Dashboard has been printed and distributed to all the Secondary schools. External Evaluation team was constituted for undertaking evaluation of the schools.
Achievement during 2019-20:
Shaala Siddhi training for all Government elementary schools was conducted on 21st June, 2019 at Mayangnokcha GHSS Auditorium, Mokokchung. Shri. Rukuzo Hoshi, PGT from GHSS Medziphema was the resource person. 130 teachers attended the training programme.
Two (2) days Capacity Building Workshop in all the district headquarters was conducted for heads of institutions elementary section in July 2019.
Two days capacity training was also conducted for external evaluator for Shaala Siddhi from 15th to 16th January 2020.
