Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Ministry of Education through Samagra Shiksha to promote arts in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students at the secondary stage in the country. It plays an important role in creating awareness of India’s rich cultural heritage and its vibrant diversity.
The Kala Utsav National Level Competition 2022-23 was held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 3rd to 7th January 2023. 15 students from Nagaland (State level winners) participated and competed in different categories. Two students – Mr. Lijempong from Yajen Aier Govt. High School Mopungchuket and N. Nyemjun Konyak from Govt. Higher Secondary School ,Diphupar-A bagged 1st Runners Up in Vocal Music Traditional Folk(Male) category and Indigenous Toys & Games (Male) category respectively.
The Students were accompanied by 2 teacher-guides Ms. Nzanbeni Lotha from GHSS Diphupar-A and Mr. N Sentimeren from GHS Mopungchuket.
