Objective of the Activity
To create community awareness on Inclusive Education and sensitize them on the various allowances, provisions provided to CwSN from time to time.
Medical assessment camp to assess the CwSN children and provide them with required aids and appliances.
Aids and Appliances provided to all the CwSN requiring to help them.
To create awareness on Inclusive Education and various provisions provided for CwSN by Samagra Shiksha.
To encourage them to go for Special Education Training as there is shortage of manpower in this field.
To train and update IE RPs on Autism Spectrum disabilities.
To create cross disability knowledge on the different disabilities among IE Coordinators and IE Resource Persons as well as to train them on Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

4 (Four) IE RPS deputed for 4 weeks for training on Autism at Delhi
Annual Assessment Camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) was carried out across 46 EBRCs in 11 Districts from March 14th to March 26th, 2022. Assessment is done for locomotor disabilities, hearing impairment and visual impairment in collaboration with Top Prosthetics Orthotics Rehabilitation Centre (TPORC) Imphal, Soundbeatz Pvt Ltd (Delhi) and Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, respectively. Hearing aids were provided to students with moderate to severe and profound hearing loss during the camps.
Distribution of 664 Aids and Appliances for CwSN to 203 beneficiaries assessed during the March 2022 Assessment Camp was carried out in 11 Districts from September 7th to September 13th, 2022. Powered spectacles provided by the Department of Health & Family Welfare were distributed in September 2022.

Sensitisation workshop for IE Coordinators/ Resource Persons:
Sensitisation workshop for teachers, administrative officers in the Education and SCERT Department, IE Coordinators and IE Resource Persons was held.
Assessment Camp:
The Nagaland Education Mission Society (NEMS) under School Education Nagaland conducted Assessment Camp for CWSN in convergence with Medical Department, Star Key New Delhi and NRRC Dimapur from 16th to 22nd May 2019. Assessment camps were conducted in 10 districts by two teams with the objective of identifying and providing assistive devices to CWSN with hearing impairment and measurement for provision of artificial limbs, shoes and other devices for children with locomotors. The Department also provided spectacles to the visually impaired children.
Official Meeting with Parents of Blind Children, NGO, Head Master:
Samagra officials held meetings with parents of blind children/ Head Masters/ NGOs/ District administrators of Samagra Shiksha DMA Dimapur and sensitized school Heads on the need to admit blind children in their schools. Accordingly, these children have been admitted in normal Government Schools in Dimapur district. General teachers of these schools have been sensitised on the needs of CWSN.
Monitoring of Inclusive Schools and NGO Schools:
State level officer in charge of I.E and District I.E Coordinators in Dimapur district during monitoring visit of Inclusive schools.
Other Initiatives:
Needy blind children were sponsored for higher studies outside the State in Mount Ford Tura and Bethany inclusive School Shillong, Meghalaya.
